Contra 3 The Alien Wars


Code notes:

The following codes are valid for the Japanese version of the game. No codes exist for the North American version.

Level select:

Press Left, Down, Down/Left, Left, Start at the player selection screen. A hum will confirm correct code entry.

All weapons:

Press Right, Down, Down/Right, Right, Start at the player selection screen. A death scream will confirm correct code entry.

Screen spin:

Briefly press L or R once, then hold the button in levels two or four. The screen will spin rapidly.

In-game reset:

Hold L + R + Start and press Select during game play to return to the title screen.

Sound test:

Rapidly tap X while quickly pressing Down, Right on the title screen.

Double weapon:

Note: This trick requires a controller with a auto-fire feature. Begin game play and assign X to have auto-fire. The weapon selection display on the top of the screen will rapidly change. Once two weapons are collected, both of them may be used simultaneously. Note: The flame-thrower is not effected by this trick.

Extra lives:

There are two locations on level 1 where your character can remain motionless to collect extra points and lives. After starting level one, your character will find a futuristic car. Do not destroy it. Jump over it and use it as a shield against the attacks that originate from the left side of the screen. Keep firing towards the right side of the screen, instantly killing all opponents that appear from that direction to collect easy points and the occasional extra life.

Later in level one, your character will collect homing missiles. Take the missiles to the next higher platform, and out of the way of the ground activity. Use the missiles to destroy all enemies that come into range to accumulate more points and lives. Note: When playing under the highest difficulty setting, a maximum of twenty-nine lives may be accumulated.

Easy weapon change:

Press Start pause game play and press X to change weapons. You will notice that your weapons can change even while the game is paused.

Fight Super Saiyajin Vegeta: Train all your characters to level 45 to 47. After that, fight Freeza he is in the fourth stage. When Gokou arrives, make him fight Freeza and someone else to fight him with a weak defense. Keep doing this till that character dies and Gokou turns Super Saiyajin. After killing Freeza, wait for the credits to end. Then, Vegeta will stop you from leaving and turn Super Saiyian as well. His battle power will be 6,000,000 and Gokou's will be 4,999,999. Remember to save the eldest Namek card. He will be 7,999,999 and it will not be not a difficult fight. After defeating Vegeta, you will have a different ending. Easy level-up for Gohan: There will be a place in the first cave on the alien planet where a big ball rolls towards you. Allow it to hit your character; you will not die. If you have 6 HP, fight monsters and let them hit Gohan for at least 1 HP and do not die. If you have 5 or less HP, use a HP MAX card to get a level-up. Note: Your BP, HP and KI will increase but not your Exp. level. This also may be done with Dende, Goku, and Vegeta. You can use it any time when they are under 10. Use a Kami card or something that heals completely. Super Fight for Gokou with Vegeta: Before fighting Radditz, train Gokou and Piccolo to level 3. When they are level 3, buy at least 5 Kami cards. Enter the cave and get to the real Radditz. Before you fight him, pick the Gohon card and select Gokou to fight with a weak defense card. After that round, use Gokou to grab Radditz and Piccolo to attack with an OK card. Keep hitting Radditz, then damage also goes to Gokou. When Gokou's HP is about 1 to 4, . Heal him with a Kami. If he has 5 to 12, heal him with a Bulma. Keep repeating this until you run out of Kami, or Radditz died. Finish Radditz, then when Gokou reaches King Kai's planet, you will have easy training -- you should have Gokou about level 10. After Gohon gets the guys and fights Nappa, Gokou should arrive when fighting Vegeta. Use Kaoken. Use the Monkey and go where they went. Finish Vegeta off and the rest of the game should be easy. Scouter trick: Before you fight Dordria use your scouter. After you defeat Dordoria you will go to Goku's Training and get the machine's HP, Bp, Ki. When you are on training with Piccolo you will see the planets power level Ki and BP, and you will get Ratiz and Napa's power level. Easy fights: Once you get to Namek, just fly around and level up. Get you BP to at least 10,000 to 17,000 with Gohan. Once your BP is that high, fight Kui . He should be very easy to defeat. A good place to level up, is near the cave where you find your first DB. After you defeat Kui, go through the rest of the game, and it should be easier.

Super Mario Kart
l Cup race. A 150cc class option will appear on the class selection screen. Race a ghost CPU: Select the One Player Time Trial mode. Press Start on controller two at the player selection screen. The word "COM" will flash in one of the boxes above the drivers. Use controller two to choose the CPU player, then choose your player and start game play. Race yourself: Select Time Trial mode, choose a character and begin game play. Finish the race with a first place time. Select the "Retry" option to race against yourself. Switch screens: Begin a One Player Grand Prix race and press B on controller two. Select a One Player game with controller two. Hold L + R and press Start on controller two. Select the class, driver, and track with controller two and begin game play. Rotate screens: Enter Time Trial mode, choose a character and begin racing. During game play, do not hit anything or fall off the track. Select the "Retry" option after the race. Press R and L to rotate the screen. Rear view mirror: Select One Player Time Trial or Mario Kart GP modes. Press X during game play. Extra credits: Finish three races in the same position. Drive in the dark: Begin game play in Battle Mode. When a player has one balloon remaining, hold B until losing a life. The player may continue to race in the dark. Map on top: Plug a controller into port two. Power on the SNES. Highlight one player mode on the main menu. Hold L + R and press Start(2). Select the engine class, driver, and track. Begin game play to race with the map on top and the race screen on the bottom. Disable music: Rapidly tap Start until the music ends. The game will continue with only sound effects until a star is used. Special cup tracks: Select Time Trial mode, choose a racer, and press Left to highlight the Mushroom Cup. Press L, R, L, R, L(2), R(2), A. A Special cup option will appear under the Star cup. Turbo start: Hold B just as the Lakitu's first light flashes. Reset all saved data: Press L + R + Y + A at the title screen. Reset race times: Press L + R + Y + A at the appropriate time trial. Hint: Stay in control: If you hit a banana or other slippery object, hold A + B. If done correctly, a music note (eighth or double eighth) will appear and you will not slip and be able continue driving normally. Hint: Item tricks: Bananas: Press Up and fire to shoot the banana a good distance ahead instead of laying it behind you. Green Turtle Shell: Press Down and fire to plant it behind you instead of shooting it out. Feather: Save it on the Ghost Valley on mushroom cup. Instead of turning after the long speed bump, go straight ahead and use it to leap to the extended ledge and get to the finish line faster.
